Marine Air Virtual Pilot Guide 2022
This Flight Operations Guide is intended for use by member pilots of Marine Air Virtual
(MAV). Marine Air Virtual is a Virtual Airline for users of legitimate copies of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 aka FS9 and Microsoft Flight Simulator FSX aka FS10.
General MAV Operating Philosophy
MAV is a NO DRAMA Virtual Airline , any drama by members will be removed from MAV along with the pilot membership .
We at MAV have the right to change/modify our va rules/regulations without notice at any time we see fit.
We do not promote any derogatory remarks/religious/ politics/sexual content or any other form of insults .
MAV reserves the right to refuse any application we see fit and do not have to give a reason as to why.
We do not discriminate against any one for race/color/ political views etc. MAV is a Global membership VA open to ALL.
Section 1.0 What is Marine Air Virtual (MAV)
MAV is a simulated representation of United States Marine Corps Aviation Operations. MAV is not affiliated in any way with the actual US Marine Corps, or any other real military organization. MAV is a Microsoft Flight Simulator virtual airline community of members who share a mutual interest in simulated Military flight activities.
We accept members beginning at 16 years of age. There is no upper age limit.Those new to flight simulation can learn from our more experienced members. We all work as a team to assist one another whenever possible. The goal of Marine Air Virtual is for all of our members to have fun.
Section 1.1 Membership Requirements
A: Marine Air Virtual Pilots must be at least 16 years of age. Marine Air Virtual operates in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. The act prohibits website operators from requiring children under the age of 13 to disclose personally identifiable information without parental consent. Marine Air Virtual does collect personally identifiable information through our registration form, therefore we have set the age of 16 as the minimum to become a member of Marine Air Virtual.
B: MAV Members may participate as much as possible every calendar month. There is no minimum monthly requirement. You may participate through any or all of our activities including individual (offline) flight, group (online) flight, Discord, Teamspeak 3, Forums, etc.You may participate in all or none of our MAV activities in a given month. We review member activities periodically
C: New Members must contact the MAV Pilot Liaison within 7 days of Pilot receipt of the MAV acceptance letter. The Pilot Liaison is responsible for determining the best placement alternative within the MAV organization. The pilot liaison will be able to assess any training needs for the pilot such as flight school or carrier qualification for those pilots who desire training. Failure to contact the MAV liaison or any other member of the command staff within 7 calendar days will result in loss of membership in MAV.
D: Please do not use or share any bootleg software in any way connected with MAV. If you are caught you will be banned from MAV and the appropriate vendor may be notified.
Section 1.2 Registration Requirements
A: Applicants for membership must register using their Real First and Last Name.
B: Applicants must use and maintain at all times a valid email address.
C: When an applicant clicks on the registration they acknowledge the following:“By clicking register, you are agreeing you meet these requirements. You also certify that you are at least 16 years of age.”
D: All MAV Pilots Must register at the Marine Air Virtual website https://www.marineairvirtual.com
Once the registration is approved our Pilot Liaison will send a welcome letter to the pilot. The welcome letter will explain how to register a FShub account https://fshub.io/ . FShub contains the landing rate monitor (LRM)/flight tracker. Used by MAV. In addition all members should join the MAV Discord server.
Rules to fly by:
No bullying.
Respect one another. Treat each other as you want to be treated.
Have Fun. This is the sole purpose of MAV.
